Wow, I have not seen such a great movie in so long.  This was much better than I thought it would have been.  The computer generation was so realistic, I had difficulty telling what was CG at some points.  The story line reminded me of the old Disney movie Fern Gully, except better.  Some of the action sequences moved around a lot, so I understand why some people can get disoriented from watching the movie.  Honestly though, I did not think that they were that bad. All in all, Avatar was an excellent science fiction story, and I think that anyone who is looking forward to it or are not sure about it will enjoy the movie.  But do not take my

Hey everyone, this is me again.  I have an actual problem this time, and I am hoping that an outside perspective will help.  You see, I have a group of friends here at school, and we enjoy playing RPGs.  Currently, we have one game going that is called Dark Heresy, based on Warhammer 40000.  My character is an assassin who specializes in sniping.  He is named Solomon Wolsey, and I really like him.  It is just, I can't seem to really contribute any to the group.  The other four members are all able to actually DO something.  Since the first session (out of 5 or 6), I have killed maybe 5 enemies, while everyone elsehas gotten at least ten.  Hec

Hey, I just realised how long it has been since I have updated my journal.  So, I decided now would be a good time. How many people read some of the older science fiction stories, by authors like Isaac Asimov, Richard Dick, and Robert Heinlein?  My science fiction lit. course I am taking this year has me reading these.  All I can say is, wow.  I had no idea about some of the stories that were available in the 40's, 50's, and 60's.  These stories are just amazing.  My personal favorite so far is "First Contact" by Murray Leinster.  The whole situation is just silly. Anyone have any favorites they would like to mention?
